First outing to Isle of Arran ends in disaster (A Naturehike Cloud-Up 2 review)

Initial Thought Initial opinion was relatively positive, though the front entrance zip was problematic, easily catching the inner fly at the bottom, whilst further up the zip sealant prevented easy zipping. It felt like an accident waiting to happen, suggesting poor design and poor quality control. Naturehike Cloud-Up 2 Failure On the fourth day, catastrophic failure occurred whilst away out walking,   the top pole ripped through the outer fabric. Gaffer tape meant it survived the night, but the tent was pronounced DOA the following morning and so the backpacking holiday was cut short. It was windy, but our older Wild Country Helm Compact tent managed the gusts with style, whilst the Cloud-Up 2, pitched to the same alignment, failed. Close monitoring of wind direction and adjustment of pitch direction on a minute-by-minute basis may have saved the day, but I was on holiday, and I like to get out now and then.
